ASOS – Rodial Stem Cell Magic Gel. This claims to be a 10-in-1 hydrator and tells me I can use it daily or as an intensive overnight mask. That sounds good and I think I will try it as a mask as I always have more face creams than masks 🙂
L’Occitane – Ultra Rich Shower Cream. This beautifully scented shower cream always leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished. The scent is a little sweet for me but it’s one I put up with for the benefits I get from it.
Look Fantastic – Molton Brown GingerLily Body Wash. This is quite a delicately scented body wash and I can’t decide if I like it or not, it’s kind of floral but not, kind of spicy but not. I guess the only thing to do is to give it a go properly and see what I think then 😀
M&S – Look Good Feel Better Sculpting Sponge. This was an either/or item in this calendar this year. Either you got this or you got an Ultrasun Ultralip. I’m really happy that my calendar had the sponge as I have loads of lip products but I needed a sponge for the banana powder that I found in the Look Fantastic calendar 2 days ago 🙂
Mrs Brimbles – Sticky notes!!! YAY everyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with sticky notes! I just find them really useful and you can get them in so many pretty designs these days that there’s no reason really to stick to just plain ones 🙂
You Beauty – Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. From the back of this can I cant decide exactly what this is as it says it is an alternative to dry shampoo but it also makes it sound like a root lift/volumiser. I guess I’ll find out when I use it as a root lift since I do use those and I’m in need of a new one very soon 😀
ASOS – REN Clarimatte T-zone Control Cleansing Gel. I have an area around my nose and mouth which can be prone to breakouts which means this is a lovely thing to find so that part of my face has it’s own treat too 🙂
L’Occitane – Soap with verbena leaves. This is a lovely scented soap the only downside is the included verbena leaves as they can be quite rough sometimes.
Look Fantastic – Oskia Renaissance Mask. I’m starting to love face masks and this one sounds very interesting as it has 2 stages, I’m looking forward to seeing what this can do for me 🙂
M&S – Formula Innovate Radiance Reveal Peel. Another mask but this one has interesting sounding instructions “Massage on to cleansed, dry skin until the transformation is complete” I wonder what I’ll transform into 😉
Mrs Brimbles – Another disappointing day, pink and purple bows. neither Christmassy nor stationery. I guess they may come in handy for gifts at other times of the year but I want stationery and the more Christmassy the better!
You Beauty – This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. I’ve heard many good things about this spray, I’m looking forward to seeing if it will work for me as a good nights sleep doesn’t happen always these days 😦
ASOS – Korres Santorini Vine Shower Gel. This smells really good and is a great size to take away when we go away for a weekend. Since I received my Tili box I’ve been looking into trying more of their products so now I can!
L’Occitane – Light comforting cream. This sounds like something I need to try the next time I develop an angry dry red patch somewhere and hope it clears it up for me 🙂
Look Fantastic – Redken No Blow Dry Cream. When I found out what was going to be in this calendar, this was one of the products I was most interested in as I much prefer to air dry my hair as I find I get more volume that way, blow drying it tends to leave it a little deflated no matter what I do or use!
M&S – Eyeko Black Magic Mascara. I’ve heard good things about this mascara and with it being a sample tube that’s great for me, it means I wont have to feel guilty about using it 3 times then forgetting about it again for a year 😉
Mrs Brimbles – Snow day stickers. These are so cute! I’m not sure about the ‘Burr’ one though, maybe it was supposed to be Brrr? They will come in very handy for me next week when I start my wrapping 😀
You Beauty – Look good feel better Angled blending brush. A good brush is always a great ting to receive and these are not only good brushes but when you purchase something the money goes towards supporting women with cancer which is a great cause 🙂
ASOS – Eyeko Skinny Skinny Deluxe Eyeliner 3ml. Eyeliners are always useful especially when you have a niece who uses the stuff!lol
L’Occitane – Almond Delicious Soap. I’m not really keen on the scent of this but it does leave my hands really soft after washing them with it so it’ll go on the shelf to be used at some point 😀
Look Fantastic – Grow Gorgeous Scalp Detox 50ml. This smells really good, I’m looking forward to trying this one out and seeing what it can do for my hair!
M&S – Nuxe Prodigieux Shower Oil. This was one of my main reasons for wanting this calendar this year and I cant wait to find out just how good this is!
Mrs Brimbles – Wild animals washi tape. I can see penguins, foxes, deer and hedgehogs on this, I have a few idea’s on how to use it & am looking forward to seeing what other animals appear as it unravels!
You Beauty – Moroccanoil intense hydrating Mask. Another haircare product today! Normally in these calendars hair products are very rare so this is a lovely treat 😀
Ohhhhh 2 posts in 1 day 😀 I admit I have had deliveries over the past week to 10 days but I’ve not been able to post them due to them being either gifts for people who might spot the posts or review products which I cant share with you so sorry about that.
The postman was very good to me today as you can see above! On the far left is a recipe booklet I won from Filippo Berio who ran an instant win ‘shake the tree’ game recently. It’s a thin pamphlet but there are some very interesting recipes in it.
Next to that on the top are 2 samples of Britney Spears perfume, I received them via a sample offered from SoPost and the sachet below them came via SoPost as well. This is a sample of John Frieda’s Frizz Ease Deep Conditioner. I normally hate receiving samples in sachets as you never really take scissors into the shower now do you?lol They never seem to tear right for me without scissors but this is a rather large sample within the sachet so hopefully it will tear right, it’s normally the ones with very little in that go really wrong for me!
Finally over on the right is a lovely gift from Sainsbury’s. This came as a brilliant surprise to me this morning, the items they sent are 4 gold chocolate coins, a small packet of gold pearls and a sample tube of Dirty Works creamy body wash. All very nice and appreciated, Thanks Sainsbury’s 😀
This is my Tili box from QVC. It’s available roughly every other month at a price of £20 (no p&p) and unlike most beauty boxes, there is no subscription, you just purchase the ones you like the look of (and multi purchase ones you think are great value from what I’ve seen on social media!) The contents of this box are:
Top row L-R
Erno Laszlo Firmarine Hydrogel Mask (Blue packet at the back)
Laura Geller Lash Boss Mascara
Nails Inc Nail Polish in Rose Bellini (exclusive shade to this box)
Korres Water Lily Blossom Shower Gel
Bottom row L-R
Percy & Reed Volumising No No Oil
Pixi Glow Booster
Bio-Extracts Glow Boost
Philosophy Purity Cleanser
Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask
Decleor Aroma Cleanse 1000 Grain Body Exfoliator
Taya Red Clay Naturals Miracle Balm
That all seems like a pretty good variety to me, some brands I know well, some I’m looking forward to trying out and some I’ve not heard of before. Tili actually stands for ‘Try it, Love it’ which sounds like a pretty good idea to me now my box is here!
Today’s is another delivery caused by an Advent calendar but this time it’s because I cancelled one I was getting as we were having problems with the company over a different order and we both just lost trust in them that they would deliver as advertised and in time. There was one item that I was a little disappointed that I wouldn’t get to try out but I wasn’t sad about not getting the calendar as a whole due to some amazing offers that can be found on others if you look at the right time 🙂
This is my latest order from Look Fantastic and I’m thrilled with it. Due to good timing on placing the order we not only received a 10% discount on all of our purchases but also 2 free gifts! The bag/pouch at the back along with 2 samples (Resveratrol [lift] eye lifting balm 5ml & Vine[Activ] 3-in-1 moisturizer 15ml) were free with a spend on Caudalie products and the TanWorx set (Exfoliating Cream 120ml, Self tanning lotion fair-Medium 200ml & Tan maintainer 120ml) was free with a spend over the website as a whole.
And now onto the items we actually purchased! The gift set back left we purchased because I’ve had some amazing results from the Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Serum that I received to try out. This set was the same price as buying the serum on it’s own so it seemed sensible to get 2 more ‘free’ products as well! Beside that is the item I spoke about before the picture. It is the Caudalie Divine Oil Bauble and this was the main item I really wanted to try from the calendar we cancelled so now I get to try it and from a company that knows how to fulfill orders that are placed with them (thanks Look Fantastic!) Beside that hiding behind my 2 freebie samples is a bottle of Caudalie’s moisturizing toner. I’m interested to see how this works as every toner I’ve ever tried has just left my face uncomfortably dry and tight!
Along the bottom of the picture, on the left, is the Caudalie body essentials Christmas Cracker. I added this to our basket as all the Caudalie products I’ve tried so far have been amazing and I wondered how their fragrances, shower gels and body lotions would be for me. Finally the last item is a dual pack of their amazing hand and nail cream which works out as buy 1 get the 2nd half price and this is something I will be using a lot of after seeing how quickly I’m going through the tube they sent me to try last month!
