ASOS – Lottie London Arch Rival Volumising Eyebrow Powder. Anything that can be used to help eyebrows is a good thing in my opinion, I’ve been using clear mascara on mine since the 80’s to try and tame them and sometimes it even works!
L’Occitane – Ultra Rich Body Lotion. This smells divine and it is very rich and creamy and works really well to keep those pesky dry patches at bay!
Look Fantastic – James Read H20 Illuminating Tan Mist for Body. Another of the self tanning products that I wasn’t looking forward to. I have however found a way to dispose of these thanks to a friend of our niece!
M&S – Korres Wild Rose Advanced Repair. This states on the tube that it is corrective facial skin retexturising. That does sound interesting with how dry my skin can become.
Mrs Brimbles – Dream & Explore notebook/journal. This beautiful book has restored my faith in this calendar, 2 days of stationery in a row, hopefully it’s the start of it being an amazing calendar again! The writing on the front of the book says ‘Twinkle twinkle little stars, How many there are in the sky! Let the children try to count? I remember this starry night!’ How lovely that sounds 🙂
You Beauty – Ciate Travel size wonderwand Gel Kohl Liner. This doesn’t have a colour marked on it but it doesn’t look quite black from the case. I’ve not tried a gel liner before, maybe I should give this a go 🙂
ASOS – NIP+FAB Glycolic Fix Serum. I use something similar currently so this is great for me to pop in a bag when we go away instead of having to take my bigger version!
L’Occitane – Conditioner. I’ve been looking forward to getting this one since I got the calendar as I loved the sample of shampoo I received in last years one. I’m curious to see how this works with my hair 🙂
Look Fantastic – This Works In Transit. This says it is a mask, moisturiser and primer all in one, that sounds great to me!
M&S – Stila Stay all Day in Perla. I’ve not used liquid lipsticks yet but this one is a very pretty natural shade so I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes.
Mrs Brimbles – A cactus pen. Finally I have a stationery item from my stationery advent calendar! A pen YAY! It writes in black ink so will be very handy even though it’s not very pretty/cute being a cactus!
You Beauty – Monuskin Illuminating Primer. Reading the back this says it can be used alone as well as under cosmetics and that it gives sun protection so it again sounds like a good all rounder 🙂
ASOS – Smashbox Photofinish Primer. I use a primer occasionally when I do wear makeup so this will come in handy at some point 🙂
L’Occitane – Pivoine Flora hand cream. Not my favourite scent but L’Occitane hand creams are amazing so it will get used
Look Fantastic – Balance Me Micellar Cleansing Water. Very useful for me as I use Micellar water daily and this is a good size to take away with us.
M&S – Rodial Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel. Some products leave me baffled about what to do with them, luckily this one had instructions which helped 😀
Mrs Brimbles – New year planner stickers. I’m starting to think this year this is more a planner’s advent calendar than a stationery one. I really wish it had said that on the description as I would have passed on it this time.
You Beauty – Bareminerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion. This seems to be some sort of serum, always handy, hopefully it’ll be nice to my skin 🙂
ASOS – Pureology Hydrate Shampoo. This smells greatly of aniseed to me which is quite nice. It does say it’s for dry colour treated hair but I’m sure mine wont complain too much if I try it out 😀
L’Occitane – Verbena body lotion. Until I opened last years calendar all I ever purchased from L’Occitane was from the Verbena range as it is just so fresh and lovely so receiving this today is a good thing.
Look Fantastic – First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. Billed as intense hydration for dry parched skin, this sounds like just what I need, I just have to hope it can live up to that 😀
M&S – Gatineau Melatogenine AOX Advanced Rejuvenating Cream. I’ve not heard of this before but it says it tackles wrinkles, firmness and radiance so it could be good!
Mrs Brimbles – Die cut card shapes. More ephemera disappointingly today. After how amazing last years calendar was I was hoping yesterday was turning the corner back to being a great calendar but this is yet another let down. I’m not sure I’ll be getting this one again unless the quality picks up dramatically over the rest of the month.
You Beauty – The Organic Pharmacy Lip and Eye cream. This sounds interesting as it’s the 2 main area’s I need to look after due to dryness so it’s another good one today to try out!
ASOS – Eyeko Skinny Skinny Deluxe Eyeliner 3ml. Eyeliners are always useful especially when you have a niece who uses the stuff!lol
L’Occitane – Almond Delicious Soap. I’m not really keen on the scent of this but it does leave my hands really soft after washing them with it so it’ll go on the shelf to be used at some point 😀
Look Fantastic – Grow Gorgeous Scalp Detox 50ml. This smells really good, I’m looking forward to trying this one out and seeing what it can do for my hair!
M&S – Nuxe Prodigieux Shower Oil. This was one of my main reasons for wanting this calendar this year and I cant wait to find out just how good this is!
Mrs Brimbles – Wild animals washi tape. I can see penguins, foxes, deer and hedgehogs on this, I have a few idea’s on how to use it & am looking forward to seeing what other animals appear as it unravels!
You Beauty – Moroccanoil intense hydrating Mask. Another haircare product today! Normally in these calendars hair products are very rare so this is a lovely treat 😀
Ohhhhh 2 posts in 1 day 😀 I admit I have had deliveries over the past week to 10 days but I’ve not been able to post them due to them being either gifts for people who might spot the posts or review products which I cant share with you so sorry about that.
The postman was very good to me today as you can see above! On the far left is a recipe booklet I won from Filippo Berio who ran an instant win ‘shake the tree’ game recently. It’s a thin pamphlet but there are some very interesting recipes in it.
Next to that on the top are 2 samples of Britney Spears perfume, I received them via a sample offered from SoPost and the sachet below them came via SoPost as well. This is a sample of John Frieda’s Frizz Ease Deep Conditioner. I normally hate receiving samples in sachets as you never really take scissors into the shower now do you?lol They never seem to tear right for me without scissors but this is a rather large sample within the sachet so hopefully it will tear right, it’s normally the ones with very little in that go really wrong for me!
Finally over on the right is a lovely gift from Sainsbury’s. This came as a brilliant surprise to me this morning, the items they sent are 4 gold chocolate coins, a small packet of gold pearls and a sample tube of Dirty Works creamy body wash. All very nice and appreciated, Thanks Sainsbury’s 😀
So here is today’s haul – aren’t they pretty!
ASOS – Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet. With only recently finding my way to the delights of Caudalie, I’m thrilled to open this as I’m slowly making my way through their products trying them all and I’ve not been disappointed yet!
L’Occitane – Dry skin Hand Cream. A staple in my beauty regime and this is a nice size to pop in a bag and take out with me
Look Fantastic – Ciate London Fierce Flicks Eyeliner. This looks good and has great reviews, I’m not normally one for black eyeliner but I might just be persuaded to try this one!
M&S – Filorga Meso + Mask. Always handy to get a face mask and this one smells quite nice so I’m looking forward to a pampering session with this!
Mrs Brimbles – Die cut card shapes. I am starting to get a little concerned about this one this year but it’s only day 2, hopefully it will improve as it goes along.
You Beauty – Nip & Fab travel palette light/medium (you can see what the inside of this looks like over on Instagram!) A really nice set of colours and it came with a £2 off next purchase at Superdrug.
